End-user farms: 7 farms, M.I.A.C.’s stakeholders

Site Description: These farms are located in Piedmont region. They cover an extension of at least 15ha, growing arable crops including maize, beans, potato, and woody crops such as blueberries, raspberries, and chestnut. The pilot has an artificial water basin used for local irrigation which supplies an overall extension of 170ha.

Motivation: The Piedmont area is seeking the best solution to become resilient to the effects of climate change.

Technology to test: CERERE (tech.#4), an AI-based crop monitoring & management platform.

Expected Outcome: Enhanced resilience against climate change for small- and medium-sized fruit, vegetable and legume growers.
