GrassGuard is a drone designed to offer ease of use, cost-effectiveness, and low operating costs. While drones are currently used in agriculture for crop monitoring purposes, the initial investment, high maintenance costs, and control complexity prevent small- and medium-sized farms from adopting them in their everyday routine.
GrassGuard is designed for eco-friendly operation and a low or zero carbon footprint. It is a semi-autonomous flying drone that removes weeds from pasture. While state-of-the-art land drones use combustion engines, GrassGuard supports the use of an electric drive for both flying and land drones. The control of the drones will be designed to be user-friendly, even for conservative farmers. GrassGuard’s regular maintenance will be simpler and cheaper than that of other drones.
