#7 GHG MONITORING PLATFORM FOR STABLES

This platform uses sensors to monitor greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in stables and other livestock structures. In fact, the agro-livestock sector appears to contribute up to 18% to the global greenhouse gas emissions, derived from the enteric fermentation of the livestock and from manure management.

The platform will support farmers in complying with the new European environmental legislation that requires them to report their contribution to greenhouse gas emissions. Data produced by this platform will be accessible also to non- experienced users.
