PROJECT UPDATE - 27 MAY 2024

On May 22nd and 23rd, GUARDIANS partners met in Prague for the project’s second General Assembly. This was the first in-person meeting after the kick-off meeting in June 2023.

Many activities involved all partners at the second General Assembly of GUARDIANS project last week.

On Day 1, partners showed the key updates and action points for the upcoming six months to better plan their work and create synergies. Also, all technology providers offered an in-depth focus on each technology tested by the GUARDIANS project with reference to the associated testbed and pilot case. Definitely a valuable opportunity to gather all the different actors involved in GUARDIANS, exchange perspectives, and think about the future of technology replicability in other regions to ensure a greater impact of the project.

On Day 2, all partners were actively involved in a workshop to think about the best practices and lessons learned from past local workshops to help the future ones. Some suggestions were also collected to help the Open calls’ management that will start later this year.

GUARDIANS project’s strength is to provide high-level technologies while involving different perspectives in the innovation process, from more technical partners to farmers and cooperatives, with the final aim of ensuring technology uptake by the daily end users and creating a more sustainable bond with territories and local communities.

Even more so for a multi-actor project like GUARDIANS, General Assemblies are precious moments to foster synergies among partners and exchange ideas to plan the future of sustainable farming practices.
