Dear Reader,
Welcome to the third issue of the GUARDIANS newsletter!
We are excited to share recent developments as the project continues to advance towards its goals of empowering small- and medium-sized farms with human-centric digital solutions.
From Testbeds to Real-World Pilots
Following successful technology development and initial testing phases, the GUARDIANS technologies have now moved beyond the testbeds.
These solutions are being deployed in our real world pilots in Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Czechia, where farmers are actively engaging with tools that address everyday challenges on their farms. This marks an important step in validating and refining our digital innovations under real conditions.
First Open Call Successfully Completed
GUARDIANS has officially launched its first open call and we are thrilled to announce that nine consortia have been successfully selected to participate in the program.
These selected consortia will work co-designing with the farms, developing and testing their solutions through a 15-month programme.
One Stop Shop in the Making
Work is well underway on the GUARDIANS one stop shop, a centralized hub designed to bring together knowledge, technologies, best practices, and services for farmers, technology providers, and other stakeholders.
This innovation centre will support technology adoption, capacity building, and sustainable business models that meet the needs of small farms across Europe.
We are grateful to our partners, pilot farmers, and community for driving the project forward.
Thank you for following the GUARDIANS journey!
